2nd Annual Cuttyhunk June Rendezvous

NEMA invites you to join the 2nd annual weekend cruise to Cuttyhunk Island on Saturday–Sunday, June 26–27, 2027.

This relaxed early‑summer gathering is a great chance to cruise together, explore the island, and enjoy the season with fellow multihull sailors.

Cruise Details

• Destination: Cuttyhunk Island, between Buzzard's Bay and Vineyard Sound, Massachusetts
• Dates: Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning, June 26–27
• Rally Point: Cuttyhunk Pond
• Overnight (optional): Anchoring or mooring in the pond

⚓ Tentative Plan

• Saturday:

• • Arrive by 2 PM if possible
  • Optional fun race around the Cuttyhunk tower for those interested
  • Others are welcome to enjoy the island, beaches, and town at a relaxed pace
  • 6 PM bonfire and cookout on Church's Beach
  • Optional overnight.  It's fine if you come only for Saturday afternoon

Plans will remain flexible and weather‑dependent, based on interest and conditions.

ℹ️ Please Note

• This is a participant‑organized cruising event, not a race (except the purely optional fun sail)
• Each skipper is responsible for their vessel, crew, mooring reservation (optional) and navigation
• You don't need to come by boat to enjoy the fun. Take the ferry from New Bedford.  Accommodations are available onshore.
• Final details and coordination will be shared with participating boats closer to the date

Please RSVP if you’re interested, even tentatively, so we can gauge participation and share updates.

Also please let us know if you need crew, or if you have extra space aboard.  Some NEMA members have expressed interest in participating, but it is too far to bring their boat.
