NEMA Members, Multihull Sailors, and Friends:  I am pleased to announce that our Annual Dinner Speaker will be the legendary Jim Brown, the multihull designer, builder, sailor, author, raconteur, and now movie maker.  He will present a preview of the documentary that is under development, Mavericks and Multihulls, aimed at publicizing and preserving the history and development of the modern multihull sailboat, and talk about his lifetime of experience in getting people into building and sailing multihulls. That experience has found its way into Jim's memoirs, in which he writes engagingly about cooking up his Searunner design, building it and sailing off with his wife and two young sons in Scrimshaw for a three-year jaunt.  But Jim wasn't just an escapist: among many other adventures, he worked in Africa and Polynesia on international efforts to help indigenous populations develop and build fishing vessels that could help sustain families and communities.  

Come and meet Jim at our Annual Dinner Saturday February 8, 2025, at The Cove Restaurant and Marina, Fall River, Massachusetts.  

We will also have our usual social hour (or so); hors d'oeuvres and dinner; Season Trophy; the new Triple Crown Trophy; and Special Awards.  

Please register early and bring a guest. A free drink to the first 25 registrants.

Registration is $75.00 for NEMA Members, guests and friends.  After February 1,  registration will increase to $85.00.
